Two Cases of Choanal Polyp

Abstract
Case 1: A 10 year old Korean boy was visited to Chonnam University Hospital on April 16, 1964 with chief complaints of nasal obstruction and breathing difficulty.
Rhinological examination revealed that left anterior nasal cavity, choana, nasopharynx were occluded with large greywhitish polypoid masses, which was hanged down to oropharynx, nasal septum was slightly deviated to right side, soft palate was buldged by the polypoid masses.
The polyp weighing 31 gm was removed under the general anesthesia with tracheostomy because of severe dyspnea. The histopathological examination proved to be a fibrous polyp of the nasal cavity.
Case 2: A 59 year old Korean man was admitted Chonnam University Hospital on April 7, 1964 with chief complaints of nasal obstruction for 6 years.
Rhinological examination revealed that the left nasal cavity and choana, nasopharynx was occluded with large greywhitish polypoid masses. Nasal septum was moderately deviated to right side and soft palate was bulged by the polypoid masses.
The polyp weighing 72 gm was removed and proved to be cystic glandular polyp.
